We are currently seeking board members with a passion for women’s health and gender equity, with skills in financial management or philanthropy and corporate partnerships. We welcome applications from women with diverse backgrounds, experiences and cultures.
The Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the team at WHEQ and be the first point of contact for people accessing WHEQ services. The Administration Officer may support event management and be asked to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in this position description.

Women’s Wellbeing Practitioner
This position provides specialist domestic, family, and sexual violence counselling supporting women’s recovery and healing from experiences of gendered violence. Additionally, this role provides support through brief solution focused counselling, case management and advocacy promoting wellbeing, social connectedness, financial independence and increased personal power. The position supports the development, facilitation and delivery of projects and programs designed to enable WHEQ to meet its strategic objectives and reach new audiences.

Internships and Student Placements
Women’s Health and Equality Queensland accepts applications from university students for placements and internships throughout the year. These run alongside semester dates with an intake at the start of the year for first semester, and another mid-year for second semester. Applications should be emailed to email@example.com, including a CV and cover letter addressing the EOI below, or enquire through your university’s placement program. We accept students in all areas of our organisation (for Social Work, Masters of Social Work, Bachelor of Counselling and Masters of Counselling the preference is final year placement).

WHEQ are developing a reference group and would like to invite women and people of diverse genders who may be interested in being a member of this group. The aim of this group is to enable WHEQ to engage meaningfully with women from our community to assist in our decision-making process or support continuous improvement. This reference group will include community members and participants, including victim/survivors of gendered violence.
